really liked it
Read from January 30 to 31, 2012

This was just a straight-up romance. I really like The Warden's sense of humor in the Black Dagger Brotherhood, so I thought I might like this. I really don't read romance that much by choice - I will review it, but I got tired of the predictability early on. I've been reading for 53 years, so sometimes it takes something really different to keep my attention. I just really liked the characters in this novel. Frankie is a very prickly lady, and Nate is a very smooth character. Together they rub together and make just the right amount of friction that spreads into a burning passion for each other and her ancestral home, White Caps. It's predictable, but it's still fun. Nate is a likeable guy - Ward's very alpha male with just enough vulnerability to make you want to just hug him. First... then, well, you can fill in from there...
