Wow. An incredibly dense book, I found this to be an 'experience' to read. 3 narrators using different narrative formats (plus a narrative of sorts by Thomas (jnr) through the editing of his father's letter), the book could at times be a bit of a slog. However, I read it in a couple of days, intrigued as to the outcome of the story. Not to give too much away, it ends up the the outcome is really not that important - it's the journey that is so important.
Certainly interesting - a 'novel' approach to a novel - but I don't think I'd want to read too many books written in a similar style!
