really liked it

Explores a watershed moment in Mormon history. It's been a while but my memory of reading this is very favorable (4.5 stars?). Flake shows a fine eye for state-religion issues and does a good job of protraying Smoot's interaction with political leaders in Washington and LDS leaders in Utah.
