Romance novels that begin with an arranged marriage tend to be predictable and not always G-rated, but Blue Moon Promise stands out on both accounts. There was a touch of mystery to keep the pages turning, and the romance was sweet and clean. I also enjoyed Coble's descriptions of the settings. What I liked best, though, were some of the characters. Coble painted each one in a realistic light - Lucy's pride and determination, Nate's frustrations with accepting a ready-made family, his father's well-meant but deceptive schemes to bring them together. Unfortunately, parts of the story felt too rushed and disjointed; some of the action was just a little off somehow. However, I had no trouble finishing the book and enjoyed it overall.
