This book was mysterious and gripping from the start. An interesting weave of fantasy, fairy story and English history. Coriander is a fierce heroine who is easy to root for. She has to grow up unusually fast, living in two worlds in which time passes at disparate speeds. A caution: The brutality is brutal, and younger readers may be asking 'what's a trollop?' so, be ready.
