I picked this up at the library a few weeks ago. I rather enjoy audiobooks on the way to work in the morning. This one just didn't work for me.

One of the things I liked about this book was the science. I enjoyed learning new things, and I appreciate authors who take the time to get things right. You can tell how much Reichs cares about her profession.

Sadly, I felt the plot aspect of the book was rather lacking. I don't mean to say its non-existent. There is plot here, it just isn't particularly intereting. It was simply the medium in which to talk about the science without writing a text book, it seemed.

Somewhere down the line, I'll probably give Reichs another shot, but I think I'll read the backs of the books before picking one out, as opposed to finding the earlierst one.

I will say that the reader's monotone voice didn't help matters much either. So, in a nutshell I see a lot of potential with these books, but it wasn't the right book at the right time.
