What the heck was that? I feel like the Mist all over again, like King had a great idea but just didn't know how to end it, so it just ended nonsensically. As always, the people are drawn beautifully, though he does spend a little too much time on the main character, who is absent for much of the book. A quick, interesting read but I wish there had more to the ending and less time wasted on a main character who doesn't do a whole lot except be responsible for the cop-out ending. And are police really that stupid?
