Politics and zombies, I guess in one sense all political stories are about zombies. Feed happens to have both the zombies that feed on human flesh (the real zombies) as well as the ones the ones that feed on humanity (the politicians).

Following a group of bloggers assigned to a presidential campaign Mire Grant does a fantastic job creating characters I really connected with as well as ones that I couldn't stop hating. Bloggers in dark rooms I loved and full of shit, fire and brimstone politicians I loathed (to put it lightly).

At the end of the day Feed is interesting because it's a zombie book that isn't about zombies. Are they there? Sure, but really only for atmosphere and to frame up the story. The real meat is in the journalism and politics of the story, how some will go to any lengths to force their agenda and others will give anything to bring it to light.

Feed is a compelling, sad, roller coaster, and I can't wait to read the next in this series.
