This begins quietly enough as Reacher is relaxing in the Florida Keys. But a strange series of circumstances propels him to New York where the mystery woman he seeks is actually Jodi Garber, the daughter of Reacher's mentor and commanding officer who was looking for him to help uncover a truth about a Vietnam-era MIA.

The plot twists and turns, keeping the reader totally in suspense about who are the "good guys" and who are the "bad guys." The developing romance between Reacher and Jodi, but they are up against powerful enemies.

I felt like the author had a movie in mind throughout -- it will be a dream project for a special effects team. The amount of violence was a bit off-putting for me, but the fast pace and plot kept me flipping pages to the end.
