** spoiler alert ** This book was a bit disturbing, Kiki's mother was both physically and mentally abusive to Kiki and Anya. I hope mommy dearest is gone back home in the next book. I know the author tries to bring in "causes" like spousal abuse and elder care, but this was a bit heavy. Also, now that certain "problems" have been resolved, I hope the storyline can move forward. Kiki is so destitute now, but she had money to invest in the store, what gives? The books just do not seem to have all the cohesiveness they need. I saw glimpses of Kiki getting a backbone, hope there is more to come.
