I had hoped to like it much more than I actually did. There was nothing wrong with it; it just didn't affect me in any way. Part of the problem was that I never really felt particularly connected to Gogol. I think I would have preferred a whole novel from Ashima or Ashoke's perspective instead of just the glimpses we got through their eyes. At any rate, the book wasn't a waste of time by any means, but it wasn't the wonderful thing I had anticipated. <br/><br/><a href="http://www.goodreads.com/review/list/424175?utm_medium=api&utm_source=blog_review">View all my reviews.</a>
