One of the most original books I've ever read. Must read for any sci-fi fan.

In a futuristic world of 1992 a team of anti-psi agents and their employer, Glen Runciter, get blown to bits in a trap laid by a competitor.

Or do they?

Do they survive? Are they dead? Did Runciter survive or did his team survive? And what does the mysterious substance Ubik have to do with it?

I can't say anything else without utterly spoiling the surprise. I have to say, I saw elements of the story coming but it didn't matter. The payoff in the end is spectacular, and the ultimate twist is superb and completely up for interpretation. The story started a bit slow, but around halfway through it became impossible to put down. Well worth a read.
