really liked it

This was the first book I read when I got my e-reader. Yes, read this as a teen, but as an adult it reminded me of everything great science fiction can do. Loved the musings on where mankind will go, and the far-distant future where ambition has become a thing of the past is just brilliant. without our thirst for exploration and need to survive we turn into happy, and somewhat stupid cattle. Wonderful stuff. And the late-Victorian dialogue holds up well in this age of steam-punk chic. The only reason I don't give it the fifth star, is after the wonderful world of the Enoi and the Morlocks there was something of a let down--but that could just be me.
