I found it difficult to get lost in this book. I would almost get there and the author would fall into a mood breaking descriptive diatribe. I think the author is in love with his vocabulary and tries to turn his every phrase into prose.
I have friends that love and swear by this guy. While he served up awesome ideas and provided a plot I really could get into, he lost me over and over when he suffocated his story with metaphor.
