I have debated what to write about this book for over a week.

Here's the thing. On many levels this is very much an 'adult' book. The swearing, the situational moments, etc. I do not think that it's appropriate for teens, but more than that - that they would even like it.

Also, the writing was fabulous. A round of applause to Kate Ellison for being able to write. Thank heavens. I feel like the art of writing is something that is slowly being lost.

The mystery was interesting and held my attention, but there was something so very artsy/odd about the plot that made it more of a love/hate relationship. I loved the characters, but it all felt a bit surreal. I also hated - HATED the love-interest's final line. HATED IT.

So...a B+, but 4 stars. How's that for compromise.
