Digital Fortress

by Dan Brown
dear reader,
I am undecided as to really liking Dan Brown, or considering his writing a bluff. He writes with such eloquence and determination, that I feel the situations, settings, and whatnot are not just pure fantasy. That whatever he writes down really exist. However, I'm not so naive, he must be tweaking some of the truth to his own benefit. But this aside, I will continue with the review.
Dan Brown has a kind of magic for making his plot fast-paced, exciting, unnerving, and a one-day setting. I was quite surprised when he made a female character his main character. But of course, his main characters are always intelligent and successful. Thus, Susan is extremely intelligent, beautiful, and rich. Very cliched for my taste. The plot was kind of bizarre. I know her agency controls the world wide web, in a sense, and it's all digital technology based. Brown's account of the story makes digital technology a threat more than a benefit! I know there are tons of techno-hackers out there, but sometimes I believe Mr. Brown exaggerated just a tiny bit.
Brown has an ability to make a one day plot highly saturated with twists, revelations, and action. It's unbelievable so much can happen in a few hours! He should get a reality check, he confuses the reader and the dialogue is very sexist (in every sense of the word).
happy reading,
CS
