The latest in Todd's Ian Rutledge series has the detective investigating a crime that may or may not have been committed in a town that has no interest in helping him. This is one of the better entries in the series: one of the key themes is the fluidity of identity (and especially how that was affected by the war) and that makes the solution to the mystery a little less obvious than it is in some of Todd's other books. It's also generally a much stronger outing than Todd's previous book (one in the Bess Crawford series) which I found very disappointing.
