This is the story of two women living in Afghanistan around the time the Taliban took over the country. These women became the wives of a very cruel man and were forced to stay,
to accept the abuse from him as well as abide by the rules of the abusive Taliban regime. At first they hated each other, but ultimately they became friends and helped one another. There love for the children and each other was very very moving. They rose above their situations to become heroes in my eyes.
