it was amazing

I'll miss Iain M. Banks. I am glad I discovered him this last year, and definitely sad that he's gone.

This seemed the most appropriate of his books to finish off the Culture series. I accidentally read The Hydrogen Sonata first, but since the books aren't really connected very tightly, it didn't really matter.

Like all Culture books, this one is far ranging and complicated, while really being a simple story of revenge. It had an interesting look at what it means to be alive, what it means to die, and what happens afterwards. It's well written and had me thoroughly entertained all the way through.
