it was amazing
Recommended for: anyone with a long plane ride, a small suitcase, and an imagination.
Read in January, 2002

This was the first fantasy book I have read, and I doubt if I will ever find one better. The length of the book can be daunting, but once you meet the characters and experience Zimmer-Bradley's writing style, you will wish it was longer.

This is a beautiful re-imagining of the King Arthur tale told by the women who surrounded him and, in the author's view, enabled him and his position of power. While there are certainly heavy feminist tones, I don't think this is something that only women would enjoy - at its heart, it is really just a great medieval tale.

Why should you believe me? I read this book 6 years ago and can write a review without even looking at an description for a reminder.
