1066: The Year of Conquest is a good book altough the author tends to have a soft spot for Harold Godwinson. He also has a habit of telling what he thinks may have happened during certain events. His insight is intriguing but takes away from the facts. All in all I enjoyed this book. It's a short read for anyone that wants to know a little more about what happened during that turbulent year in English history.
