I picked up "Love in a Nutshell" because of the Janet Evanovich factor. I'm a huge fan of the Stephanie Plum books, so I thought, "How could I go wrong?" Well, I won't say it was a wrong move - this was a perfectly fine blah, blah romance novel, with sweet characters and a an ok plot. But if you're looking for Plum funny, this is not the book. This book was written with a co-author (I'm assuming in the manner of James Patterson and his many little author elves), so I don't know if that's where things level off for this book, or if it just wasn't what I'm used to with the other series. If you like Harlequin Romance, you'll love this book. If you're looking for a little more, you may want to search elsewhere.
