Another great read from Kirsten Hannah. I love her characters. I love that her stories are almost exclusive to Washington State because I can visualize so well. This topic was new for me... Military lives... at home and abroad. Heartbreaking and eye opening at the same time. Makes you feel so thankful to those who serve our country, I really think in a way we take it for granted. We don't fully understand what people go through.

Kudos to Kirsten for tackling a tough subject so well. While I didn't love it as much as Firefly Lane or Winter Garden, but it is well written and an interesting story. I like that she always tackles some sort of relationship issue within her books. This time it was no different... lack of parental role model... marriage on the brink of divorce... communication issues. When your done reading you take a look at your own life.

Janet, Lisa, Judy, and Jasmine... thinking you girls might like this one!
