Read from January 24 to March 24, 2012

A powerful second half makes up for the lackluster first half. Once Grant makes up his mind to actually do something, he is a force to be reckoned with. But up until that point, it is him whining about how he's a teacher and what is he supposed to do for his former student on death row? I was actually kind of bored by the talking in circles between Grant, Tante Lou, and Reverend Ambrose, but there is a lot less of that as the book progresses.
