No Name, No Slogan. The French excel at existential crime, whether on paper or celluloid, and Fatale is no exception. An inscrutable killer, Aimee is the Woman with No Name, but who rides into town via train track to wreak havoc for no other purpose than to make a quick killing for the unholy dollar. Her plans are derailed by someone whom she views as a kindred spirit, to her everlasting regret, but the ride is as enjoyable as it is nihilistic. Like Clint Eastwood, Aimee knows that "there's money to be made in a place like this, and they pay in dollars."
