Up until you read this story to us in class, I have never heard of it before. I can say hands down that "Thank You Mr. Falker", was definitely one of the most inspirational children's books I have ever read. The story of a young girl that is always teased because of her inability to read. After traveling with her family across the country is finally placed into a school looking for a new beginning. Through all the hardships, she is finally placed in the class of a teacher that understands her. That is able to help her learn to read. Not only does Mr. Falker teach the young girl how to read, but teaches her to love to read. Very inspiring, definitely gave me the goosebumps at the end.
