The novel Scorpia by Anthony Horowitz is a fascinating book. It starts off with fourteen year old Alex Rider on a trip in Venice with his best friend tom. On his last mission, Alex rider thwarted the plans of the multi- millionaire singer, Damian Cray. Alex was confronted by Yassen Gregorovitch, a contract killer. One the USA plane Air Force One. Yassen was dying, but before he did, he was told the truth about his father, John Rider. Alex was told that he was in a plane crash, but he was killed by M16, British Intelligence. This was unexpected since Alex had been employed by M16 four Times. Yassen told Alex to find Scorpia in Venice and that it would lead him to his destiny. Alex had snuck in a party uninvited and snooped around. He was caught by a member of Scorpia. After some perilous troubles, Alex gets to meet the head. Mrs. Rothman. He was told that Scorpia had its own school who teach the young generation how to kill. Alex was also told that his father was killed in the trade and that it was Ms. Jones, the woman that sent him on missions, that had gave the order
The Alex rider series is a great series that I would push anyone to read.
