Wish this one had been better. No "holy s#@t" moments. The daily grind of the post-zombie-apocalypse world has set in. But things are going just good enough to know something big and bad will happen soon. But unless Carl turns into a walker and eats his father's brains, I don't think readers can be really shocked anymore. But I want to see myself proved wrong.

Carrie McGath I am halfway through ... pretty boring, relatively speaking. BUT ... I am thinking maybe there is a definite point to that -- that yes, as you say, "something big and bad will happen soon."

That and maybe the disturbing comment in this volumes lies in Rick finding hope again in a world so overtly hopeless ... Another opportunity to drive these characters over the rest of their edge if this hope is not realized ... ?
