Tom Litchtenheld celebrates artistic inclination in this lovely story about a young girl who seeks to find her inspiration when she loses her beret. This is a great book for celebrating self-identity and individualism and helping students overcome artist block. I enjoyed Litchenheld's bold use of color and line, and the way he tips his hats to the great masters of the 19th and 20th centuries, from Whistler to Warhol.
