What a gem of a book! Lincoln is such massive historical figure and this book makes him so real. Based on true details and occurrences, this story presents Lincoln through the eyes of two of his boys, Willie and Tad. There was a lot of fodder for discussion for my 7-year-old who had questions about historical language, the civil war, and anything that seemed foreign to his world. I highly recommend this book!
