really liked it
bookshelves: instructional, to-read

I will never have time for all the hobbies I'm interested in, but this book was just too intriguing to pass up! It was written originally in 1922 and I always love reading instructional books from that era, This book has highly practical and very detailed instructions for making every tool you'd need and going through every step in the process of manufacturing your own arts and crafts style mosaic tiles, garden pottery, molded vases, bowls and bookends...anything you can think of that can be made in concrete, essentially. And the author was a renowned arts educator and painter in his time and you can tell. His attention to detail and experienced tone make you feel as if you're sitting in a workshop with a master soaking up their experience. I can't wait to actually try this someday! >.<
