"Sometimes when you look back, you can point to a time when your world shifts and heads in another direction. In lace reading this is called the "still point. Eva says it's the point around which everything pivots and real patterns start to emerge" (28).

"You're an interesting woman," he says. "You walk that line." What line is that? The line that by its very definition is not a line but a crack. One I slipped into a long time ago. He thinks before he speaks. "The one between the real world and the world of the possible" (320).

"If the question is right and the Seeker is prepared to receive, the answer will be immediate" (327).
