I almost hate to give this one a 2 because I really loved the television show (that was cancelled after just one season! Why do they do that with shows I love?). I only read the book because I really wanted to know what happened to the characters from the show since the season ended with a cliff-hanger. Unfortunately, the poor language (bordering on r-rated) was a turn off, the writing style was immature, and it was a bit too long (the book I read had all 3 books of the trilogy in 1 volume). I think if the swear words were taken out and there was some condensing of the story, it could have been a 4 star for me because the idea had promise, but alas, this was a let down for me.

T.J. The book was . . . weird. First off, it was NOTHING like the show (which I ADORED and am still pissed at them cancelling it so early. Bad move abcfamily) and the language was pretty inappropriate. I love Alek and she didn't get together with him, instead Brian who I really don't like. He's nice though. And I wished she chose a different name than Firebird. Like the Mie den or something cooler, more common. So I rate it a two. It's not down right pain inducing but there are better books that money can be spent on and time you could read with.
