I am still enough of an engineer to be fascinated by the sections on Marconi and his dogged pursuit of wireless communication, especially since nobody had any idea of how it actually worked and were just flying blind and trying out everything until something worked. On the murder mystery side, I went back and forth... there were more than a few spots where I stopped and thought, 'no, really, I don't care how much of a bitch she [the victim] was, she didn't deserve to be hacked to pieces [presumably by her long-suffering husband],' which was how some of the descriptions of family life were reading to me.

Catherine I loved Devil in the White City. Was this one as good?

Missy I haven't read that one yet -- I did like this one, but I was into the parts about Marconi a lot more than everyone else's review I've read.
