Read from January 21 to February 02, 2012

"…They trailed their fathers from one yard to the next s they made thier gardening rounds and learned how to trim the hedges and mow the grass. The watied for us on wooden slatted benches in the park while we finished cleaning the house across the street.Don't talk to strangers, we told them. Study hard. Be patient. Whatever you do, don't end up like me." p. 72

Luminous. Made me feel the way I felt about O'Brien's first chapter of The Things They Carried with the multiple third person/first person POV technique. And world was broadened with the last chapter; hadn't really thought about the places that were voided… and how those places adapted.

Took a long time to read.
