Poems about the poet. Poems about things other than the poet: animals (platypuses & starlings & lions), instruments (pianos & triangles & jukeboxes), parades, sand, minotaurs. Poems that are clear and funny and, of course, completely heartbreaking. I just want to carry this thin little book around with me everywhere.
