it was ok
bookshelves: audio-book, chick-lit

I'm fairly new to Jennifer Crusie books and have liked the other three I've read but it wasn't the case with this one. It's hard to like a romance when you don't care for the female protagonist. I found Tess to be a self-rightous bully and frankly I didn't think she deserved Nick or her friend Gina. Granted she turned around towards the end but it was much too late for me to become enamored with her character. Perhaps the reader (audiobook) added to this characterization somewhat. And frankly, the mystery about "Lanny" was just a little too obvious for the Tess not to figure it out. Skip this Crusie novel.
