really liked it
bookshelves: supernatural, horror
Read in January, 2012

Rebekkah returns to her home town of Claysville to go to the funeral of her grandmother. She doesn't want to go, there are too many bad memories and too many dead associated with the town. Her grandmother, Maylene tended to the dead, there are many strange rules involving those who died in the town. Rebekkah is about to find out why and realise some things that are buried don't always remain so.

I really enjoyed this book, part mystery, part romance and part horror. It reminded me of Stephen King novels when he was in his prime. I would have liked it fleshed out a bit more and the mystery part wasn't a surprise but it gets points for being something a bit different from the norm. Three and three quarter stars.
