This was so not what I expected. It led to a lot of conversations with Travis about how girls don't like fantasy/supernatural stuff (a gross exaggeration, but go with it), but then it pops up in a lot of "girl" books. In that way, it reminded me of When You Reach Me.

I enjoyed it, but a couple of really awful phrasings made me wonder if it was translated and if not (it wasn't), where the editor was. She describes someone's eyes as "depthful." I think you mean "deep," lady.

I'm not sure I feel satisfied by it. To keep with the food metaphors, I liked the meal, but am still feeling a little peckish.
