I've been thinking a lot about this book lately what with the movie coming out and all. The movie trailer didn't catch my attention as much as I thought it would, which made me question the book itself and why I was so enamored with it in the first place. I realized that while the story is good and the characters are certainly noteworthy, what makes this book a great book are the words. Duh, Em. So taking a line or a phrase or a piece of dialogue such as:

“As he read, I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.”

I read that and I kind of forget the story or what's going on. I just read the words and it took my breath away. Because what a beautiful sentiment. And what a beautiful way to say such a thing.
