Read from January 18 to February 22, 2012

I liked it, but this is not for every reader. It's HARD sci-fi. A very different, complex world, some actual science and invented devices that would probably work given the right circumstances. Think of hard sci-fi being to normal sci-fi, what hardboiled is to mysteries. I would call it a cyberpunk dystopia, but it really has that picaresque charm of steampunk to it. I doubt this will charm casual readers, but sci-fi geeks will be ALL OVER IT. It kind of beat me up, but I wouldn't say no to the sequel after giving my brain a little break.
