I came to Suzanne Enoch through her contemporary series with Sam Jellicoe the kick-ass cat burglar, and was kinda hoping that her historicals would be as awesome.
This book was EXTRAORDINARILY slow-paced. Argh. Well written, but it dragged. I ended up skipping a good 40 pages, which isn't something that I normally do with romance novels (or any other book for that matter).
I will probably try another of her historicals, but I'm not holding out high hopes.
