Sometimes a short book seems difficult to get through. Sometimes stories don't have the resolution you want or need. Virginia Lovers is like a song that doesn't actually contain the exact phrase "Virginia Lovers" but there is a t-shirt that reads "Virginia is for Lovers" and so while I came in expecting a romance there isn't any romance. Instead, this is a story about a family. The father works. The sons are at odds. And the mother ... seemed more incidental. I may choose to reflect on this book at a later date; these words fall right after completion. But at the end, I feel sad for everyone...but it's not their fault.
