** spoiler alert ** Technically a 4.5-star rating. Minus the remaining .5 star for plausibility reasons.

The scientific, believability barriers/issues are slight compared to the overall thrilling, page-turning reading experience that, at the end of the day, turned out to be a touching love story.

Boy does King know how to weave a haunting tale.

One that fully and yet unexpectedly explores the saying "it's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all." On one side of this equation, there's George/Jake who loved and lost, and on the other side, there's Sadie, who at the end of the day, never loved...or didn't know she had. And it's difficult to assess who's better off, and which path was the "right" one to take. Even if it saved the world.
