I don't really have anything to add that I haven't already said in my review for The Princess Diaries, but I especially loved the Indiana references in this book (Anne Hathaway even got the pronunciation of Versailles correct! Although the character refuses to use it for quite a while, so for a long time I kept saying "It's Ver-sales!" at the audiobook). Meg Cabot's heroine is flawed, but extremely likable, and so much better written than many other teenaged girls in tween/YA lit.
