really liked it
bookshelves: action-thriller, jack-reacher
Read from January 17 to February 03, 2012

Not my favourite, found myself very concious of his hygene and almost smelt him on every page in this book No. 6 of the Jack Reacher series.

The story takes place in Texas with Jack trying to hitch hike his way out of a tight spot. A beautiful stranger picks him up and soon unburdens her troubles on him leading us nicely into murder, racism, politics and domestic violence. Jack gets plenty of opportunity to use his army skills and knowledge to stay ahead of the game. For the reader we have to decide if Carmen's telling the truth and guess the identity of the baddie who has hired the killing crew.
