it was amazing

I have to admit, I almost dreaded reading this book. It was assigned reading for my Children's Lit class and was worried that I would not like it. The reason for this worry is because I never like the overly-hyped, made into a huge motion picture books. So when I sat down to read this book, I was nervous. However, much to my surprise and delight, I fell in love with this book. The way the authors describes Panem (the country in which the book is based in), the event of the Hunger Games but most importantly, the characters led me to feel a strong connection to the book. I soon realized that unlike the popular books that I was wrongfully assumed this book would be like, Hunger Games was about people. Not vampires or wizards; people. This allowed me to connect with their emotions and their struggles. If you have not already, I highly recommend that you read this book.
