Thank You, Mr. Falker has always been one of my favorite books. As a kid, I liked knowing that even big-shot authors like Patricia Polacco had troubles when they were kids; that gave me hope that I might make it as a writer someday. Reading it now as an adult, I understood the book more than I ever had. It made me realize even more than I already knew that kids struggle with things but that doesn't mean that they aren't trying or that they aren't smart enough to succeed. They might just need that extra push. I think it's important for both kids and adults to read this book and understand the message that's behind it; feelings can be hurt because of misunderstandings and this book could help to avoid that.

Lisa Hainline My favorite author! I read this book to my kiddos the first week of school. It opens doors for great discussions about bullying.
