it was amazing
bookshelves: paranormal, romance, ya
Read from January 16 to 22, 2012

I loved this book. Then I hated it. Then I loved it again.

You guys, I hate paranormal romance. I just hate it. I hate books about angels. I thought the twist in this book was really, really stupid - for about fifty pages. Then I totally bought it.

All of it. Paranormal romance included. There is just so much to love! Karou is wonderful. The world that she lives in is beautiful and weird, and the world that she's kept just outside of is beautiful-er and weirder. The writing is terrific, though it sometimes slips too far into soppiness (I loved how no-nonsense Karou was at the beginning, and I missed it later in the book).

This book is sort of extraordinary, and is way better than its genre, and I am so, so excited for the sequel...

Amanda I know right? So much good yet so frustrating at times. I kinda miss the rawness Lips Touch Three had. This had maybe too much polish.

Alyse Liebovich This is pretty much exactly how I felt.
