Thousands of years ago a mystery man chiseled a piece of flint into a charm that transforms a kind, gentle man into a ruthless, greedy tribe leader. The flint heart appears again centuries later, finding it's way from man to man and on to animals and other magical creatures. In the end it is up to a boy, his young sister, and a hot water bottle to destroy the heart and save the animals and faeries from the effects of the heart's evil influence. The Flint Heart is a clever retelling of Eden Phillpotts's 1910 fable.
